Disappointly the Reserves squad showed a number of changes to the squad that had performed so well last week. Manager Van Ancarrepairs had sensationally dropped Spanish International Griggos, after his first clean sheet for over a decade! Also missing were Kay, PJ (suspended), Mallyon and Si (injured). The team was boosted by Leeinho stepping down from 1st team action, the return of Big Ant, with Tubes also promoted to the bench. Contract rebel Plaktini was joined on the bench by Griggos and 'new boy' (?) Wilson. Kay's absence led to a reshuffle at the back.

The team trailed 3-1 at half time eventually losing 5-3 to one of their promotion rivals, despite another goal from Henri and a brace of penalties from Leeinho. Things got worse as Big Ant and Gareth were again both substituted through injury. I think we should reconsider the appointment of Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate as fitness advisors!

There was better news elsewhere as Wilbraham were held. However, it is beginning to look very tight for the second promotion berth. The reserves should be able to get back on track next week when they should have a full squad to choose from with no first team game.
